I wrote this poem in the rain

For a prompt of Poetry Tow Truck # 35 Rain

Mid-day Sun. Ironically, a surprise rain
Which caught everyone off-guard
And what a sight!
Sheets of rain, blades of sun rays
Scents of wet earth
Upon which a curious soul retorted:
A hyena must be giving birth right now
Because only then does it rain in the sun

I love the saying about the hyena!

Lorot, the rains draw forth the pen. I too was inspired by our impending storm. My post not nearly as eloquent as the one above. Hope this message finds you well.

@ Sherry Blue Sky, thanks a lot. There is something about the hyena that is funny and outright humorous. Could it be about its laugh or incidences such as above in the poem? Ha ha.

@ Raining Iguanas, been a while my brother. How have you been? I will catch up with yours and I am humbled about your kind comments. And yes, (ha ha) the message found me well.
