Phoenix phantom dwells in me
In body and soul—
I can rise from ashes.
For a prompt, The Heights of Haiku Challenge
We are at this moment, fellow pilgrim, treading on the boulders of this hill upon weathered rocks and rotting roots to smell a whiff of nature’s scent or to spot footprints on molten lava.

Of course you'll rise from the ashes. We all do. Rebirth always follows death.
Yes you can. Great haiku - it inspires!
Thanks Koko. I admire your new style of poetry. Soon I will try my hands on it.
I have been intrigued reading about the phoenix. The fact that it can rise from the ashes and be "immortal" captures my imagination in manifold ways. In a phoenix, I see myself as the immortal-- not in the strict sense of the word-- but figuratively through my works and my indefatigable spirit. Thanks for the observation.
Of this I have no doubt. Your spirit brings others along.
Thank you Greenwood. As always, the hills are "swooned" by such kind compliments. :)
